Lighting assignment 1
The purpose of this lighting assignment was to capture images using different methods to enhance or diffuse light, then compare them to how the image would appear without adjusting any settings or using any equipment.

Bracketing
For the bracketing part of this experiment, I photographed my friend sitting by a window where there was a range of light. I set the bracketing settings to a decreased exposure of one and a half, and an increase exposure of one and a half, then comparing my results to a standard exposure. It is visibly clear the both the decreased/increased exposures are too strong. The photo with increased exposure washes her face out slightly; a diffusion method could be useful for that photograph.
As for the decrease in the photograph, it turned out underexposed, not giving much detail to her face.
Metering
Part of the lighting assignment was to experiment with metering. We were asked to photograph a subject using spot metering and evaluative metering, then compare the two. You can see that the photograph captured using spot metering is less exposed than the photo captured with evaluative metering. Spot metering allowed the light to focus on the book all while not over-exposing the background. While using evaluative metering, the book cover appears to be slightly over-exposed, as well as the background.
